2009 Somerset International Conference for Librarians and Teachers The full programme of paper and workshop presentations for the 2009 Somerset International Conference for Librarians and Teachers is now available for viewing on line at www.somerset.qld.edu.au/ I am also delighted to announce that author, artist and musician Matt Ottley, the controversial winner of the 2008 Children's Book Council of Australia Award, will be participating in Workshop Tuesday on 17 March, 2009. Matt will discuss his most recent award winning picture book Requiem for a Beast, along with his other publications. The two days are shaping up to be excellent professional development for all librarians and teachers. To assist with making this event even more accessible to a greater number of delegates, there are two levels of registration: Full Registration covers both days (and may be shared with a colleague from your school) and Workshop Registration for those of you only able to attend on Tuesday. The Registration Fees remain unchanged from 2008. Should you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact me.
