We invite ISANA members and colleagues to hear Monique Dam, Advocacy and Prevention Manager, Domestic Violence NSW, speak about Domestic Violence. What it is, ways you might detect it, what you can do, and who can you refer out to.

Monique Dam is the Advocacy and Prevention Manager for Domestic Violence NSW, and she is working towards a world where all women and girls can live free from gender-based violence and fully realise their rights and dreams. She has worked in advocacy, research, policy, programs and fundraising in the NGO and government sectors. She studied political science in France and volunteered at a women’s refuge in Peru.

Monique has a background is in law and community development. She enjoys solving problems creatively, analysing complex issues and collaborating across sectors. She has a passion for working with diverse communities. Her other interests include post-conflict gender justice and participatory community arts.

Monique loves languages, art, dance, poetry and travelling.
