Evaluation

The Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (formerly DEST) engaged and funded ISANA National to design a National Code online tutorial as a method of disseminating the information within the industry and as a staff-training tool for providers and their staff.

The participants and expected audience for this online tutorial are those providers and individuals who see benefits in cross-sectoral cooperative development. The tutorial is relevant across all sectors and specific situations and by engaging with the tutorial and completing this short evaluation, you are contributing to your own knowledge base and increasing the professional standards in the Australian International Education industry.

A key focus of this tutorial is to:

  1. Function as a staff training tool to enable staff to understand and engage with the National Code 2007.
  2. Provide an opportunity for experienced practitioners to contribute advice and further insights into the industry.
  3. Promote general and specific awareness of the revised content of the 2007 National Code across all sectors and experience levels.

This evaluation asks you to consider the above points and invites you to make comment. There is an opportunity to complete and submit a short activity in order to gain a Certificate of Completion for your professional development portfolio. Finally, ISANA asks for your contributions of good workplace practices that illustrate your insitution's compliance with the National Code 2007.

The evaluation consists of three levels:

1st level Feedback evaluation (excel 35kb)
This general overall evaluation helps us identify strengths and weaknesses in the tutorial. Your input is appreciated.

2nd level Assessment of your understanding & Certificate
This small test activity section assesses your engagement with the tutorial and awards you for an 80% pass with the Certificate of Completion. With additional funding from DEEWR in 2008, this test activity including the generation of the Certificate of Completion is now fully online.

Follow the directions below to access the Assessment site.

To complete the Tutorial test activity and certificate issue requires each individual to:

  1. Access the testing webpage at and click on the link: 2nd Level - Assessment of your understanding & Certificate
  2. This will take you to the ISANA Online Assessment System where you, for the first visit only, need to click on the link "Sign up"
  3. Follow the instructions to create your own registration details. It is essential to make sure the email address you submit is correct.
  4. A confirmation email will automatically be sent to your nominated email address with a link that you must click on to accept the registration. This link should then return you to the testing page where you can respond to the assessment questions (15 multiple choice questions).
  5. From then on you can return to the testing site as often as you like but on any subsequent times you click on the "Log in" link using your nominated login name and password that you set up the first time....don't forget to "Logout" when you have finished your session.
  6. You can redo the test activity as many times as you need to and download the final certificate once you have attained an 80% or more pass rate.
3rd level Good practice contributions (excel 23kb)
This section seeks participant contribution of good practice examples from their institution and will contribute to the onging development of the tutorial and to the overall professionalism of the international education industry.

Certificate opportunity

You are encouraged to complete Level 2 - Assessment of your understanding, to attain a Certificate of Completion as this will add to your professional portfolio and many institutions are using this certificate as a form of evidence for their staff compliance knowledge.

This online activity offers a multichoice assesment of your understanding of all 15 Standards. Your responses will be immediately evaluated and you will be provided with instant feedback. If you achieve an 80% result, your customised Certificate of Completion will be available for download at the end. If you do not reach an 80% pass rate, the system will enable you to repeat the test activity as often as you need.

Your contributions via Level 3 would be very much appreciated.

Please complete the Levels 1 and 3 above as desired and email: isana@cdesign.com.au
